Magic Milk Science Experiment

Materials:

• 2% Milk

• Dish soap

• Cotton buds

• Food colouring (variety of colours)

• Shallow plate (such as a pie plate)

Procedure:

• Fill the plate with milk.

• Drop in at least 2 drops each of food colouring.

• Dip the end of the Q-tip into dish soap.

• Dip the Q-tip into the milk next to one of the colour drops.

• Watch what happens to the colours.

• Why do they do this?
