Tricky Cards Science Experiment

This is a physics experiment that uses air pressure.

Materials:

• 1 glass (mouth small enough for a playing card to fully cover it)

• 1 playing card

• Water

Procedure:

• Fill the glass 3⁄4 full of water.

• Place the playing card on top of the glass and cover it rightly with your hand.

• Holding the card on the glass, carefully turn the glass upside down and slowly remove your hand.

• What happens to the water in the glass? Does the card fall off?
