Dancing Corn Science Experiment

This is a chemistry experiment that focuses on an acids and bases reaction.

Materials:

• Clear container

• 2 1/2 cups water

• 2 tbsp baking soda

• 6 tbsp vinegar

• Popcorn kernels

• Spoon

• Food colouring

Procedure:

• Add water into the container with a few drops of food

  colouring. Mix it to make the water an even colour.

• Add the baking soda and stir to combine.

• Add a small handful of popcorn kernels.

• Add the vinegar and watch what happens to the kernels.
